Associate

We are seeking an Associate to our Stavanger office. The role is central to the investment team and spans the full investment process, from screening and analysis of new investment opportunities to due diligence, transaction execution, portfolio company follow-up and exit.

The position carries significant responsibility in analytical and decision-making processes and requires a high degree of independence, precision and professional maturity. The candidate is expected to take ownership of their own deliverables and ensure that analyses, assessments and decision-making materials are consistently of high quality.

The right candidate will join an experienced investment environment with strong opportunities for professional development and further progression.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Evaluation of investment opportunities, including market screening, financial analysis, and financial modelling of valuations, forecasts and expected returns
  • Prepare investments materials, including financial models, return analyses, investment committee documentation and materials to other key decision-makers
  • Conduct company, market and competitive analyses with emphasis on commercial attractiveness, risk and value creation potential
  • Participate in due diligence processes and contribute to structuring key assessments towards investment decisions
  • Support transaction execution, including maintaining deal timetables and coordinating workstreams across advisors

    Internships

    HitecVision offer first-hand experience in Norway’s largest private equity company through our Internship programme. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional undergraduate and post graduate students whose studies focus on business finance or similar areas. You have solid academic results from a recognized university or business school, are motivated to pursue a career within private equity, and have a strong interest in finance, energy industries and sustainability topics. Interns will have the opportunity to experience the role of a full-time analyst.

    We offer internships throughout the year (except July) with varying lengths and scopes. In addition to short-term internships, we also offer long-term internship of up to one year. All internships are part of the Investment team. During the internship, you will work on real business needs and receive training and guidance throughout the duration of the internship.

    You will take part in HitecVision’s journey within the energy transition and low-carbon energy sectors and gain broad exposure to various industry segments and business models. The opportunity offers an attractive platform for development in finance, strategy, communication and industry knowledge.

    What we offer:
    • An opportunity to work across the organisation, participating in projects in both the Investment team and Operations.
