Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) in Korea has signed a Letter Of Intent with Apply for delivery of the Martin Linge Living Quarters. SHI and Technip consortium is the topside contractor to Total E&P Norge for their Martin Linge field development.
The contract includes delivery of a new 7 floor Living Quarters module with an area of 3700 m2, a capacity of 95 single cabins, recreation areas, change rooms, helicopter deck and other facilities required for operation of an offshore hotel. The Living Quarters will be constructed in steel. Engineering work will commence immediately and delivery is expected in Q2 2016.

Apply will combine Apply Leirvik’s NORSOK competence with Apply Emtunga’s competence in design and delivery of steel modules to successfully execute the contract.
Apply LQ and Helidecks is at present also engaged in the delivery of the Living Quarters to the Hebron field development in Canada and the Edward Grieg field development on the NCS.
