Apply Leirvik Emtunga AB has been awarded a contract for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning of a replacement Living Quarter by Brunei Shell Petroleum Sendirian Berhad.
The living quarter will be installed offshore Brunei at the Champion 7 field.
The 3700m2 LQ will be designed and fabricated in 65 modular sections in Sweden, whereafter it will shipped to and assembled at Batam Island in Indonesia.
“We see the contract award as a renewed sign of confidence in the Emtunga modular concept as it is being carried forward under the ownership of Apply Leirvik”, states Christofer Edström, the CEO of Apply Leirvik Emtunga. The BSP living quarter will be the fifth LQ delivery from Emtunga to the region since 2001, reinforcing our established presence in South East Asia.
The Champion 7 LQ basic design has already started and the fabrication is planned to start in October 2010. The Living Quarter is scheduled for load-out and installation offshore in the period between March 2012 and June 2012.
The contract value of Apply Leirvik Emtunga’s scope of work is around 50 MUSD, bringing the total company order backlog up to approximately 80 MUSD.
