Global Maritime in collaboration with UniSea has been awarded a five-year fleet contract with SolstadFarstad for a software solution for dynamic positioning assurance.
The new software solution will make implementation and documentation of dynamic positioning testing easier. The solution’s main purpose is to avoid vessel downtime, at the same time improving the crews’ knowledge and experience. Also, the solution will be integrated with already existing software onboard SolstadFarstad’s ships.
– This is the biggest dynamic positioning assurance contract in Global Maritime’s history. The industry needs to change and become more digital, and this solution will contribute to modern, digital and cost-effective solutions for the industry, says Helge Hydle, general manager of Global Maritime, who hopes that further companies will follow suit.
